Remote Mountain Camera
The Brewster is brought to you by the NZ Mountain Safety Council (MSC) in collaboration with Victoria University. The site is situated at 2000m elevation on the southern flank of Topheavy. It looks out to the summit of Mt Armstrong (2174m) and its northern slopes, including the challenging traverse to Brewster Glacier.
This Remote Mountain Station was installed to support avalanche forecasting provided by MSC on the NZ Avalanche Advisory, and glacier research with Victoria University. The imagery is publicly available to support quality trip planning and preparation for those exploring the Mt Brewster area.
Please note as this camera is in a remote mountain environment there may be times it is unavailable or image uploads are inconsistent.
